Temple of the World
This course was available in the past and may be presented again as part of the Open Enrollment curriculum.
Herodotus calls the Egyptians the most religious of any people he had encountered; what gave rise to this observation, and how was it expressed among the Egyptian people themselves? This course will outline the basics of ancient Egyptian religious beliefs, morality, and social justice using art historical remains from royal and private tombs, state monuments, and preserved papyri.
