Short Story Incubator
This course was available in the past and may be presented again as part of the Open Enrollment curriculum.
Students will focus on further developing a particular short story they are already working on, submitting multiple drafts for peer and instructor comments. You will need to bring a draft of this story, plus a published story you would like to use as a model, to our first class session. This class meets every other week (four times over eight weeks) to allow students time to respond to each other’s drafts and revise their own work. This course is designed for students who have completed a previous course in fiction writing, such as Fiction Writing Essentials, or who otherwise have gained some familiarity with the basic elements of fiction writing, and would like support and feedback as they revise.
