MScTRM Capstone Team Develops Signal-Detecting Drone for Earthquake Response

As part of a faculty spotlight event featuring UChicago Classics Professor David Wray, the Graham School’s Master of Liberal Arts (MLA) program launched the Ethics and Leadership concentration at the Gleacher Center on August 17.

The Graham School of Continuing Liberal and Professional Studies is pleased to announce the appointment of three new faculty to the Graham School Board.

Dr. Paul Phillips, an instructor in the University of Chicago Graham School’s Financial Decision Making certificate, was interviewed this month on ABC-7’s Windy City Live about his nonprofit organization, Better Man Than Me (BMTM). Phillips is teaching a two-part workshop on August 17 and 18 titled Nonprofit Organizational Finance and Strategy.

The University of Chicago Graham School announces $1.5 million gift from Don, AM’86, and Anne Phillips in support of the Basic Program of Liberal Education for Adults. This gift will endow the Basic Program staff chair, an essential position that provides leadership to the Basic Program while ensuring the highest standards of pedagogy for each student’s educational experience.

Jacob Dickman, MScTRM '10 and 18-year veteran at the Chicago Fire Department, published a chapter that describes a holistic approach to emergency management as an alternative to a top-down approach.
