Aleisha Gardner is a professional healthcare consultant and highly regarded medical editor and writer. She began her early career as a scientific researcher in ophthalmology and pediatric cardiology laboratories at UW-Hospital and Clinics and later worked in a clinical setting as a medical assistant at an urgent care center in Chicago. Aleisha worked at the American College of Surgeons on the production of the medical literature review Selected Readings in General Surgery and has edited many other publications, including the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Aleisha received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin (UW)-Madison. She then completed her Master of Science degree at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS) in Health Professions Education. Her strong interpersonal skills and commitment to lifelong learning allowed her to teach as a TA for graduate level students at RFUMS. Aleisha has received recognition for her attentiveness to detail and dedication to editorial project management.
