The Data Analytics for Business Professionals (DABP) online certificate incorporates many of the key and developing trends in the field of business analytics: analytical talent, internet of things, deployment of models, analytical tools, ROI measurement, business problem identification, targeted insights localization, machine learning and robotics, data storytelling, open source, APIs to access data, and data visualization, as well as exposure to Tableau, SQL, and Python. This is meant to give wide hands-on exposure to the most relevant and popular data science tools, in a digestible and manageable way for those without prior hands-on coding experience.
This sequence of three core courses is structured along the CRISP-DM methodology. The courses are intended to be modular, following the same dataset throughout the program so that upon completion, students are familiar with the CRISP-DM standard approach to data analytics projects. This certificate is intended to provide students with an actionable toolkit that can be repeatedly drawn upon to frame their business challenges into a data science solution, build a plan, and then execute on it. The certificate has a further emphasis on the construction of a project plan and essentials of analytical management necessary to drive project success.
