Basic Program Workshop on Toni Morrison’s Beloved

The day will include 2 workshop sessions on Toni Morrison’s Pulitzer Prize winning novel Beloved. The morning session will be led by Audrey Petty, a writer and educator specializing in African American literature who currently teaches for the Illinois Humanities’ Odyssey Project. The afternoon session will be led by Claudia Traudt, Basic Program instructor. We will finish with a concluding discussion led by both instructors.

Participants are invited to attend Student Film Night on Friday, April 28 to view the film of Beloved, hosted by Basic Program Instructor Claudia Traudt. The session will begin at 5:30 pm in Room 40 of the Gleacher Center.

Participants are requested to bring a copy of the novel to the workshop.
