OUVAWR | Writing as Part of Your Practice

This course provides artists with the necessary communication skills to write and think critically about their own work and its connection to the larger world of contemporary art. Just as the field of critical practice and theory analyzes and evaluate works of art, artists must also use dialogical tools that inform, interpret and educate their varied audiences. These goals will be explored through readings and written assignments, including the artist statement, narratives for grants/proposals, interviews and reviews.
