Meet the Clinical Trials Team
Mary oversees all of the professional masters and noncredit programs at the Graham School. Mary was most recently the Associate Dean, Academic Programs at Northwestern University School of Professional Studies, where she oversaw all undergraduate, graduate, and professional development programs. Mary had been with Northwestern since 2008 and also held posts as the Director and the Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs. Prior to Northwestern, Mary oversaw academic operations and student advising at Cardean Learning, an innovative online learning company.
Mary completed her PhD in English, Communication, and Media Studies at the University of Chicago and has taught communications and writing courses for the Humanities Division, Medical School, and Booth School of Business. Mary has spent her career working in the field of adult and continuing education, and she is excited to return to University of Chicago and to contribute to the continued success of the Graham School.
Karine manages the portfolio of noncredit professional certificate programs. She leads the growth and development of the programs through the management of offerings, faculty, and staff. Karine was most recently the humanities program coordinator at the Illinois Institute of Art where she was responsible for managing the humanities course component of the programs, and overseeing tutoring and counseling services. Prior to the Illinois Institute of Art, she was the general education department chair at Le Cordon Bleu Chicago. She has 20 years of experience teaching college French and psychology courses.
Karine holds two master’s degrees, in French literature from the University of South Carolina and in psychology from Université Lumière Lyon II, France.
Nicole oversees instructor scheduling, engagement, and training across professional development certificate programs. Nicole also manages the day-to-day administration of three certificates: Financial Decision Making, Digital Marketing and Integrated Communications, and Clinical Trials Management and Regulatory Compliance. She is responsible for the growth and management of courses along with instructor development.
Nicole has more than twelve years of experience as a college instructor and designer of courses in criminal justice, psychology, and human services in community colleges and universities throughout the Chicagoland area. Nicole has a master’s degree in psychology and a PhD in community psychology from National Louis University.
Kerry is responsible for the academic advising of certificate students and alums. She manages student activities, including webinars, seminars, and events, academic advising and retention, as well as alumni relations for the professional development certificate programs. She is responsible for the non-credit student experience and helps to run the Professional Development Programs Student Advisory Board that is tasked with representing noncredit students at the Graham School.
Additionally, Kerry oversees the day-to-day administration of the Editing and Project Management certificates.
In her previous role, Kerry was Assistant Director of Cityfront Operations at The University of Chicago. For over four years she supported both students and instructors through on-ground class management and technology at the Gleacher Center.
Outside of UChicago, Kerry teaches college courses in Cinema Studies.
Kerry graduated from the University of Chicago’s MAPH program with a Master’s degree in Humanities.
Sayeeda serves as an assistant director of enrollment management. In her role, she counsels prospective students regarding degree offerings and the admissions processes. Additionally, she serves as primary support for recruitment and admissions initiatives for the Professional Development Certificates.
Sayeeda is currently an MBA student at the Quinlan School of Business and has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing. Prior to joining the University of Chicago, Sayeeda served as an enrollment advisor for graduate programs at Loyola University Chicago and, at Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She has extensive experience in student advising, recruitment, and career counseling.
