Meet the Analytics Program Team
With over 10 years of experience in higher education, Jigbie has held Academic Advisor positions at the Northwestern School of Professional Studies and DePaul’s College of Computing and Digital Media. He is adept at the creation of innovative learning experiences, leveraging technology, event planning, student recruitment, retention, and completion efforts.
His interests include music, photography, food, and fitness. In his free time, you can find him trying new recipes, training for races, or simply enjoying the outdoors with friends and family.
Charles Barkley serves as the lead advisor for prospective students to the Master of Science in Analytics program and Data Analytics for Business Professionals certificate. Prior to joining the University, Charles worked in post-baccalaureate pre-medicine program admissions at Northwestern University. He holds a master’s degree in English literature and undergraduate degrees in English and Art History.
Albert Chan is the Associate Director of the Master of Science in Analytics (MScA) at the University of Chicago. Previously, he spent 15 years at Kaplan in the K-12 division and at Kaplan University, where he served in several administrative roles, including Director of Quality and Improvement, Associate Director of Institutional Effectiveness, and Director of Admissions. Earlier in his career, Al worked in Sweden for nine years in the fields of ecological engineering and environmental measurement techniques. He holds a BSE in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University, an MS in Applied Environmental Measurement Techniques and a Licentiate of Engineering in Environmental Science from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden, and an MBA from University of Notre Dame.
As executive director of analytics programs at the University of Chicago, Greg Green architects and leads programs that strategically apply analytics to solve complex industry problems with greater speed and impact.
These programs are reinventing analytics and value creation by reshaping the content and approaches used to educate the next generation of analytics leaders. Additionally, Dr. Green is building new, creative lab-based offerings more deeply connected to MS and PhD research programs in computer science, statistics, computation and applied mathematics, and financial mathematics.
Throughout his professional career, Greg has used his expertise in digital strategies, business analytics, and new product development to drive rapid revenue growth and accelerate business transformation. His previous work bringing innovation to an academic environment included authoring a Marketing Analytics course, designing a prerequisite applied statistics course for full- and part-time programs, and serving as a lecturer for Marketing Analytics and a Foundational Statistics Bootcamp at Northwestern University.
Greg’s industry roles include chief analytics officer at Harland Clarke Holdings, director at Google, EVP/managing director at Publicis Groupe, and analytics practice lead at PwC. Greg’s patented cloud-based media analytics platform was highlighted in Harvard Business Review and Fast Company.
Greg holds a doctor of philosophy in mathematics from Claremont Graduate School and a master of science in statistics from Michigan State University. Born in Owosso, Michigan, Greg is married to Jill, an artist, and their adult children include two more artists, a teacher, and an engineer. Greg and his family enjoy snowboarding, snow/water skiing, and live theatre—as well as good food and friendships. Their passion for the environment is reflected in a love for Lake Michigan where they like to spend as much of the summer as possible.
Gregory Guevara has served in the role of Student Affairs Administrator for the MScA Program for the past two years. He is responsible for instructor and course scheduling while also serving as an integral member of the MScA Admissions Team. Gregory is also the point of contact for the MScA Alumni Scholars Program. He holds a B.A in Sociology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a M.S. in Higher Education Administration from Florida International University. He has 7 years’ experience working in Higher Education.
Samantha Kruse serves as the Graduate Academic Advisor for the Master of Science in Analytics. After starting a career in community organizing and politics, Samantha realized her passion for working with students and advocating on their behalf. Previously, she worked with graduate and undergraduate students in the nonprofit sector and the University of Illinois system. She specializes in student advising and retention and has been recognized for excellence in advising at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She also has experience in admissions and registrar functions for both credit and noncredit course offerings. Samantha earned her Master of Public Administration in 2018. Her capstone focused on public service motivation and retention
Mary oversees all of the professional masters and noncredit programs at the Graham School. Mary was most recently the Associate Dean, Academic Programs at Northwestern University School of Professional Studies, where she oversaw all undergraduate, graduate, and professional development programs. Mary had been with Northwestern since 2008 and also held posts as the Director and the Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs. Prior to Northwestern, Mary oversaw academic operations and student advising at Cardean Learning, an innovative online learning company.
Mary completed her PhD in English, Communication, and Media Studies at the University of Chicago and has taught communications and writing courses for the Humanities Division, Medical School, and Booth School of Business. Mary has spent her career working in the field of adult and continuing education, and she is excited to return to University of Chicago and to contribute to the continued success of the Graham School.
Alison Ossyra is the Assistant Director of Recruitment and Communication for the MScA Program. Alison manages the recruitment and admission process for the analytics program. In addition, she’s responsible for the MScA Industry Partnerships. Alison holds a BA in International Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has eight years’ experience working in admissions.
